The initial meeting of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group to ISO Project Group 302 (TAG 302) was held on Friday, August 19, 2016 in Washington DC.
Much of the meeting was spent in introductions and reviewing important organizational and logistical issues.
I gave a presentation on the history of the ISO 19011, based on an article that Gary Johnson and I published in Quality Progress in 2012 – Pointed in the Right Direction.
The discussion at the meeting primarily centered around identifying the issues the meeting participants thought should be addressed in the revision of ISO 19011. These discussions will provide input into the development of a Design Specification. This document will be used in guiding this standard development activity over the next two years.
The first international meeting of PC 302 is scheduled for November 7-11, 2016 in Orlando, FL.
